Amber & Jonathan were married at the Main Post Chapel at Fort Bragg, NC in October 2017. Their reception was held down the street from the chapel at the Iron Mike Conference Center following their ceremony.
This wedding was a long time coming. Amber and Jonathan have known each other since 6th grade, and were friends through college. They lost touch for a bit only to reconnect and fall in love while Jonathan was deployed.
Amber and Jonathan were so much fun to work with and really laid back through the planning process and on the wedding day. Their number one priority was to make sure their guests had the time of their lives. It wasn't just about them, they wanted everyone to enjoy themselves on the day.
You can feel the carefree and easy going vibe through the images we captured that day. At one point, I turned to my second photographer and said it was probably the most fun wedding I had ever been too! Everyone, even the grandparents, was out on the dance floor... This is a crowd that knows how to party!
I loved having the opportunity to see and photograph Amber & Jonathan's Main Post Chapel wedding. The architecture of the chapel is perfect for wedding portraits, lending a gorgeous backdrop and ample shade and cover in case of inclement weather. Which we were lucky for, since it rained that day... but I have heard rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck!
The sanctuary of the Main Post Chapel features vibrant stained glass windows created from over 14,000 pieces of antique glass from around the world. A stunning, three-tiered, golden chandelier hangs above the pews. It is a sight to behold. The chapel is non-sectarian and non-denominational in order to serve the many spiritual traditions of service members stationed at Fort Bragg.
I had such a lovely time capturing Amber and Jonathan's wedding and I am excited to share some of my favorite images from the event.
